Emily Airhart

Dr. Airhart has been teaching cello, piano, and violin lessons since 2015. Her approach to teaching is individualized to each student, with a mix of scales, etudes, standard and lesser-known repertoire, movie/pop music, and music theory incorporated.

Currently based in Des Moines, IA, Dr. Airhart has experience with solo, chamber, and orchestral repertoire. Her most recent recording project features seven pieces for solo cello written in the 21st-century by women composers. Several of these pieces include the use of electronics.
